About the Prints

Archival Quality Prints

Each fine art print is made on archival paper and inspected by myself for overall image quality.  My current printing preferences include two of the most archival processes available to artists working in the medium. The more traditional C-print process uses Fuji Crystal Archive paper which is a semigloss with a fine surface texture and great longevity. I am also providing "giclee" prints, the new-standard in archival quality and artist control. These "giclee" prints which are made using pigments, are rated to provide the collector the greatest value ever available. Artists in all 2-dimensional mediums are now working with this new printing methodology.

Prices and Sizes

Prints are available in a variety of sizes ranging from 2x3 to 16x20 inches (image size will be slightly less than these paper sizes).  Most prints are not available in every size.  Prices are based on print size.  Within the galleries, below each image, is specific size information for matted pieces.  Some example prices are listed below:

5x7 (mounted and single matted to 11x14 with V-groove) .......$35.

6.75x10 (mounted and double matted to 11x14) ..............................$47.

9.75x14 (mounted and double matted to 16x20) ...........................$79.

11x18 (mounted and double matted to 18x24) ...........................$129.

Framed pieces available at shows and via arrangement.

About the Images

The images in the galleries represent those that are available as prints. The actual prints will often look even better than what is shown here.

About the Matting, Mounting and Framing

Mats are acid-free, conservation quality 4-ply board. I personally hand-cut the windows to tight tolerances on both the single-mat with V-groove and double-mat versions. The Mount board is an Acid Free Conservation board or Art Care board which is acid-free and actually serves to protect the print from impurities in the air. In the tradition of Ansel Adams, I permanently mount the prints to the mount board which safely limits exposure to the back of the print.

The mounting process is a cold-mount, pressure-based system that results in an attractive presentation. The mat board is adhered to the mount board creating a rigid, archival package that will provide generations of viewing enjoyment. Frames are selected for their aesthetic appeal and economy. Collectors may always opt to frame their own pieces to personal taste and preferences by purchasing a matted and mounted, but unframed print. I always complete the frame by sealing the reverse with Kraft paper which both adds to the neatness of the finished frame and protects the print from dust.

My choice of glazing (glass) is a conservation grade Reflection Control - UV protective glass that will extend further the viewing-pleasure of your artwork. My finished framed, matted and mounted print offers the buyer a high quality, economical and immediate-hanging option that private collectors appreciate.  I am constantly upgrading materials and practices to assure you receive the highest quality framed art.
